Big Brother News from 'Evel Dick' of BB8

Hey everybody & Happy mid-March! We have about 4 months to go until BB11 starts, but we only have a short 3 months until the party starts right here on the Big Brother 11 Blog! As a reminder, I will be posting the cast of BB11, rumors, news, and juicy gossip..starting in June! We're almost there, BB fans! Hang tight! ;-)

In need of some BB related news? 'Evel Dick' of Big Brother Season 8 (see pic below..)



...posted a couple new blogs on his myspace blog about a few things that might be going on this year.

*'Evel Dick' is now official with Real Player & will continue to do webcasts on RealPlayer (where the BB live feeds are) like he did this past season.

*Real Player Superpass (aka the live feeds) are working on giving Evel Dick his own page with in the Real Player, with it's own tab.

*Dick threw an idea out to the 'big wig' of Real Player and suggested that 1 time per year (in the Winter or Spring) to replay an older BB season along with that seasons live feeds and all the previously aired CBS episodes. Dick's part would be to do a call-in show for the Live Eviction show and everyone could talk and bullshit about that season.

And last, but MY FAVORITE piece of info Evel Dick wrote about, was...

"I thought it would be cool that since Big Brother is about the only show that doesn't do a reunion show after the fact, is to do a reunion show. And we decided the first one (which very well could be the last one, if I can pull it off to start with) is Big Brother 8. So, if it does happen, it will be immediately following this summer's BB11, in mid-late-ish Sept. in Las Vegas Nevada. And I will try to do it somewhere where we can have an audience, very small audience..... but, I don't want to get ahead of myself here.

I think it would be a pretty fun thing to do and I think it will be a fun thing to watch as well. And there will be a few that will be tough to get to do it, sooooo if I could get YOUR help in convincing some of the BB8 HG's (Jen) to do it, it would be (Eric) appreciated.... So, send them myspace notes or if you have their emails or phone numbers, hit them up and let them know that you would like to see them do it. "

I would LOVE to see reunion shows & would love it even more to see the FULL cast of BB8 do a reunion show!! I hope Eric & Jen decide to do it. As if you need a reminder of why Jen & Dick don't get along...



I'm glad that E.D. is keeping us fans up-to-date with BB related news and that he's still getting involved in BB related work. It seems that everybody else just leaves the show and that's it (except for a few that host on Housecalls on CBS.com during the season).

Big Brother 11 Blog is on Myspace & Facebook

Hey BB lovers!!

We *finally* made it through Winter (woo hoo!!!!!!!) and you know what that means...Spring is here and Summer is right around the corner!! We have 4 months until Big Brother 11 starts in early July. Seem like 4 months is still a long time to wait? Well, think about this: in June, we will meet the cast of Season 11 and that's when BB11 will start here on the blog for us. I'll be posting cast pictures, cast info, inside secrets about this season, pre-season contests, and so much more! So the party really begins in early June! ;-)

Update on BB11-Winter or Summer?

Hey ya'll! Well, it's not looking good for another Winter Edition of BB11. :( I hate to say it as much as you hate to hear it!

SAG (Screen Actors Guild) was supposed to vote if they wanted to strike in order to get a new contract that would include actors to get paid residuals or not but that has fallen through and there will be no vote as far as I can tell.

And for even more bad news, Big Brother isn't scheduled for Winter according TVguide.com (http://www.tvguide.com/special/winter-preview/winter-preview-a-z.aspx)

So, to answer the question "Will Big Brother 11 be a Winter show?", the answer is no. :(

But just in case it DOES happen before Summer, you will hear it here first!! Until then, I'll be counting down the days until BB11 airs in July! ;-) I'll start blogging in early June and get the blog fully set up as I keep ya'll up to date on rumors, cast pictures, and everything else BB related.

SAG Strike Delayed by 2 Weeks

Today I came across some "Breaking News" on TVguide.com that says the actors strike vote is being delayed by 2 weeks.

SAG president Alan Rosenberg had agreed to delay the vote to "address the unfortunate division and restore consensus. This will provide us with more time to conduct member education and outreach on the referendum before the balloting."

So what does all of that mean? It means that there's too many actors that DON'T want to strike (at least not right now) so SAG is going to hold a meeting to try to get everyone on the same page for a "Yes" vote.

What does this mean for BB11 in Winter? Well, there's a couple of things that don't look so good for us BB fans. (1) The vote will most likely be announced in early February (when BB would have to start), so it might be too late to do a BB11 in Winter on such short notice..unless CBS is fully prepared already! (2) SAG needs 75% of its members to vote "Yes" to strike and it looks like they might have a little bit of trouble getting that many "Yes" votes.

But don't fret, BB fans, there's still hope!!!!

As of December 24th, 2008, Big Brother 11 is *STILL* scheduled as a "Midseason" Fall show, which would be in February.

SAG: To strike or not to strike?

Okay, so if you've been keeping up (or trying to) with if SAG will be striking or not, you might be a little confused. So, here's an update:

As of today December 16th, 2008, this is what is going on...

SAG Could Strike by January 24, 2009

The Screen Actors Guild (SAG) says it will be sending out strike authorization ballots to its 120,000 members beginning January 2, 2009. Members will have until midnight January 23 to get their vote counted.

If 75 percent of the membership vote YES for a strike it could go into effect as early as January 24.

Guild President Alan Rosenberg said in a press statement on Wednesday that the future of professional actors is at stake and could hinge on the vote."

There you have it, ladies and gents! The SAG will vote to either strike or not strike between Jan. 2nd and Jan. 23rd. If they DO strike, it could take effect immediately.

So what does the SAG strike mean for Big Brother 11? It means that shows that will run out of episodes will temporarily go bye-bye until the strike is over, thus making room for some "filler" shows, such as BB11!! :-D

Don't count out the possibility of another Big Brother Winter Edition just yet, kids! ;-)

Mini-Tribute to Keesha & Memphis

I made this mini-tribute to Keesha & Memphis, an unspoken romance. Us 24/7 feed viewers all saw the chemistry between these two but they never acted on it since they both have significant others. Makes ya wonder 'what might have been'. ;-)

Actors possibly going on strike...Big Brother 11 Winter Edition?

Here's another great piece of info for you die-hard Big Brother fans: actors might be going on strike in a few weeks!! What does that have to do with BB11? Well, that would mean that shows would be delayed in production for a while & in return, thrusting reality tv shows to take over (hello, Big Brother 11!)

Here are 3 articles on the possible actors strike:

BB11 is *still* scheduled for mid-season (most likely as a "just in case" thing), but it's looking more & more like BB11 this winter might be happening!!!
